The Black & Decker MM2000 is very easy to assemble because it only requires you to attach the handle to the mower. The handle itself is adjustable from 40”-44” from the ground up and is numbered to help guide you in adjusting it. The padding for the handle is not the greatest, so you may need gloves to avoid blisters while mowing. The safety bar is in front of the handle for an easy grip to keep the mower running.
There are 7 height adjustments for grass height that range from 1.5”-4” and is easily done with a single lever handle to the side of the mower. The front wheels are smaller than the rear ones for easy maneuverability. The MM2000 also has the EdgeMax feature, which lets you mow very close to objects like a flower bed, fences, or whatever else you have to mow around.
This mower is a 3-in-1 which means it lets you choose whether to mulch, bag, or let the grass discharge from the side. The grass bag is 13 gallons, which should be okay if you have a smaller yard. If you have a big yard, you will need to empty it a few times.
Most people love to mulch though, as it fertilizes their lawn and makes for less work while mowing. Many of us don’t have the time nor want to deal with bagging or raking.

The B&D MM2000 electric mower has 13 amps of power and is corded, so you will need to buy an extension cord that can power the mower and is long enough to reach across your yard. Some people don’t like dealing with a cord, but the advantage is that you can run it from a regular house outlet and it will have unlimited power. A cordless model’s battery might drain before you are finished if you have a large yard, so that is something to consider.
If you are going with a corded model, you might want to buy a cord reel as well to make it easier to reel the cord back in instead of wrapping it up and creating extra work for yourself.
Once you get a mowing pattern down, the cord shouldn’t be in your way at all.
Is The Black And Decker MM2000 A Storage Hog?
The handle folds down on top of this Black & Decker electric lawn mower for easy, space saving storage. It’s a little heavier than other electric mowers, so you may or may not need help putting it into storage. If you live in a dry climate, you can probably just put a cover over the mower to store it. There is no battery, so you never have to worry about keeping it charged or letting it freeze.
