Unlike the cordless models, you will have an unlimited power supply and will never have to worry about charging or buying new batteries.
Once you figure out a nice mowing pattern, the cord shouldn’t be a problem at all. If you hate wrapping up the cord after mowing, you can always buy a cord reel to make it easier with the clean-up.
Some people prefer a cordless model because they can go anywhere without dealing with a cord, and while that is true, batteries do lose charges and can die, and they are very expensive. They also need to be charged all winter as well.
That is not to dissuade you, as they do provide the freedom of going anywhere in your yard or places that don’t have a plug. Some cordless models are also compatible with other cordless yard tools. So, if there’s still enough power after mowing, you can take the battery out and use another tool like a trimmer or chainsaw!
