This is a cordless mower that comes with two 2.5 Ah 40V Max batteries and a charger. This is a great feature because if you have a small yard, you can always use the other battery for another 40V electric lawn tool. If you have a large yard, the two batteries will last long enough to get the job done.
If you live in a state that has a winter season, keep the batteries indoors. If they are in a shed and it’s very cold out, just make sure they are kept at at least a 50% charge, as they can freeze easier at a lower charge.
Some people prefer cordless so they can avoid dealing with a long cord and can just start mowing. Others prefer the corded mowers, so they don’t have to charge batteries, buy new ones if they die, or care for the winter storage of them.
There is another great thing about this mower, in that it can sense how tall the grass is that you are cutting and slow or speed up the motor accordingly. If the grass is taller, the motor will speed up, and if it is short the motor will lose some power. This is the perfect feature because it can prolong the battery’s life if you have different lengths of grass, or if you have short grass already. It won’t always run at the same energy draining level.

The handle folds down over the mower for easy, space saving storage. The mower weighs 59.5 pounds, not exactly a light thing to carry if you are alone. If you need to leave it outside, you can always buy a cover for it and it should be okay, as it is mostly plastic. However, if you are leaving it out in a state that has a winter season, be sure to remove the batteries first.
