This is the EGO Power+ electric lawn mower. It is the core model LM2000, but with a 56-volt battery and charger included. The mower has a 20” deck and is cordless.
EGO Power Plus PARTS
The handle has a hard padding so you might have to wear gloves if your hands get irritated by rubbing against it. There is a start button you have to push to start the Ego Power Plus mower, and then hold down the safety bar in front of the handle.
This is a 3-in-1 mower, which means you can mulch, bag, or discharge the grass. Most people love to mulch as it fertilizes their lawn and lessens the work they might have to do while mowing or after. But if you prefer to bag or rake, those options are easily accessible as well.
The body of the EGO Power+ is a strong durable plastic and can stand up against mostly any kind of weather and won’t rust like mowers that have a metal frame/deck. It is super quiet, as is true with most electric mowers. There is a single lever handle for easy height adjustment from 1.5-3.5 inches.
There is an added feature that is unique to electric mowers in general, and that is LED headlights! If you get off of work and it’s dark or you wake up before sunrise, you can still cut your grass, no daylight needed! It’s very convenient for any time of the day OR night.
EGO Power Plus POWER (HA!)
The Ego Power+ is a cordless electric lawn mower that has a 56 volt, 4Ah arc lithium battery (improved from a regular lithium-ion battery), and it comes with a charger as well. There is no cord to mess with and you won’t be limited in how far you can go if you have a big yard.
Batteries can get expensive though, so some people prefer the corded models as you can mow with unlimited power. But if you like cordless tools, this battery is pretty strong and should last a while. You can mow for 45 minutes after charging for 30 minutes.
There are also 5.0 Ah and 7.5Ah battery models available, if you want more power, but the 7.5 will cost you hundreds more.
EGO Power+ STORAGE Space
The EGO mower weighs 65 pounds so you may or may not need help storing it. The handle folds down for easy, space saving storage. If you live in a state that has a winter, you will want to keep the battery in a warmer place since it can freeze in cold weather. The battery must be kept charged throughout winter at over 50%.
Ego Power Plus Mower WARRANTY
There is a 5-year warranty (one of the longest warranties on these electric mowers) on the mower itself, and a 3-year warranty on the battery pack and charger. If you plan to use the Ego Power Plus mower for professional/commercial use, it will be covered for one year. If you use it for rentals, that voids the warranty. It does not cover the blade in either case.
