This is the GreenWorks 25302 G-MAX electric lawn mower. It is a cordless mower and comes with 2 batteries and a charger. It is plastic so it’s light and easy to push. Now that you know the basics, let’s discuss the GreenWorks 25302 in greater detail.

The handle of this mower has a black rubber padding for comfort and a better grip. There are 5 height adjustment positions for the mower, ranging from 1-1/4”-3-1/8”.

This mower is a 2-in-1, meaning it mulches or bags your grass. It does not have a side discharge, like some other mowers have, so those are your only two choices. If you like to mulch or you prefer to bag your grass, it won’t really be a factor in your decision to buy this mower. It is a very nicely constructed mower and is very reliable. Mulching fertilizes your yard, so that seems to be the best choice anyway!

There are dual blades, each being 10 inches,
for a more precise cut and greater mulching capabilities. Also, this mower has a 20” deck, on the larger size for most electric mowers. The front wheels are 7” and the rear wheels are 10”.

The GreenWorks 25302 has smart cut technology, meaning that it will detect how tall your grass is and use only the power it needs to, thus using less battery power if your grass is short. Some mowers run at the same speed no matter what, so that is something to consider.

POWER

This is a cordless mower and comes with 2 lithium-ion batteries (1-2Ah, and 1-4Ah). The 4 Ah will last longer but will take longer to charge at about 2 hours, and the smaller one will take one hour. If you already have a 4 Ah battery at home, you can use both 4 Ah’s to get more mow time and save the 2 Ah for other cordless lawn tools, like a hedge trimmer or chainsaw if you wanted to. In the winter, you could use the batteries for an electric snow thrower!

A great feature on this mower is that if one of the batteries dies while mowing, it will change over to the other one so you can keep going. There is an indicator to tell you when the batteries are getting low. You should get up to an hour of mowing time.

If you live in a state that has a winter season, wherever you store your lawn mower, make sure to take the batteries out. If you are storing the batteries in the shed and it gets very cold, you should keep them continually charged at 50% or higher to avoid freezing. If you are busy, I would suggest keeping them in the house somewhere, but still checking on the charge here and there.

STORAGE SPACE FOR THE GreenWorks 25302

The handle of this mower folds over on top for easy, space saving storage. It weighs 42.5 pounds, about 15-20 pounds lighter than a steel mower, but you may still need help if you have to carry it into storage.

WARRANTY

There is a 4-year warranty on the mower for residential use and a 2-year warranty on the batteries. This mower is not intended for commercial/professional use and will not be covered for that.
