This article is about the WORX WG782 electric lawn mower. It comes with a 24-volt battery and charger and has a 14-inch deck that is best for smaller yards.
WORX WG782 Lawn Mower PARTS
The handle on this mower is foam padded for comfort and an easier grip. Instead of holding down a safety bar, there is a start button in the middle with two separate handles to hold down, which you see in the picture above.
Usually, the rear wheels are bigger with electric mowers, but the wheels on this model are both the same size. There is also Intellicut technology as a bonus feature, which means you can adjust the power of the motor depending on how high your grass is. You can choose either ‘power’ or ‘quiet’, which is a great feature to have as some other mowers will get bogged down in thicker grass.
WORX WG782 is a 3-in-1 mower, meaning it mulches, bags, or discharges the grass while you mow. With this model, it has a mulching blade instead of a regular one, which means your grass will be cut up extra fine. Most people love to mulch, as it fertilizes their lawn and makes for less work during and after mowing. Some electric mowers do not have a mulching blade, but they do mulch, just not quite as well as one with a mulching blade specifically.
The WG782 has a 14-inch deck, which is one of the smallest electric mowers, so it might be best to buy it if you have a smaller yard. It will take you more time, but that’s completely up to you.
Is The WG782 A Powerhouse?
This mower is cordless and runs with a 24-volt lead acid battery, so no need to buy or use an extension cord. You just charge and go, it’s that simple. Some people like the corded mowers because you don’t have to worry about running out of power, maintaining the battery, or having to buy a new one since they can get expensive.
Cordless models are good for people with larger yards because they aren’t limited to a cord that might not stretch all the way across their yard. Some of the batteries are also compatible with other electric lawn tools, so that’s a pretty great advantage as well.
The battery run time is approximately 40 minutes on quiet mode, or up to a 10,000 square feet yard.
STORAGE Space For The WORX WG782 Cordless Mower
The handle collapses for easy, space saving storage and weighs just 30 pounds, so carrying the WORX WG782 electric lawnmower to where it needs to be stored might or might not be a problem, depending on your situation. The body is plastic, so it won’t rust, but the mower should still be in storage since any kind of moisture could still damage the motor.
The battery needs to be kept at a charge of over 50%, especially in the wintertime, if you go through winters. You cannot leave it outside, as it may freeze and then it will be useless in the spring.
WARRANTY For The WORX WG782 Mower
There is a 3-year warranty for residential use only, with registration, and a one-year warranty on battery packs and chargers.
