This is the WORX WG789 36V cordless pacesetter self propelled electric lawn mower. It is made of both metal and plastic, which of course makes it stronger than just plastic. There are 6 mowing heights, from 1.5″-3.5″, all adjustable with a single lever. All 4 wheels are adjusted at the same time. It is 3-in-1, which means the grass can be mulched, discharged from the side, or bagged.
Some people have complained about these mowers being a little hard to push. Well, the WORX WG789 is self propelled! Self propelled mowers adjust to the speed at which you are walking, and all you have to do then is guide it without pushing. Much easier right?
The WORX WG789 is easy to assemble and should take you under 15 minutes to put it together, with easy instructions. The handlebar is fully collapsible for easy storage, and is wrapped in padded foam. Just push the button, squeeze the lever and you are ready to go. The more forward you push the handle, the faster the mower will go. It might take some getting used to, but after that it should be a breeze!
What is Intellicut Technology?
The WORX WG789 also comes with IntelliCut Technology. When some mowers come up on thicker or taller grass, they sometimes will shut off or have a very hard time getting through. But with IntelliCut, your mower will recognize this and will switch to a higher power when it needs to, to take care of that thicker grass without a problem. Pretty cool, huh? When the power comes on, it is more loud; however, this mower is 20 times more quieter than other mowers on regular power! So if you are close to your neighbors, they shouldn’t be bothered at all.
The battery is 36V, has a year warranty, is rechargable, and runs for about an hour. There is a battery charge indicator with 3 levels; just push the button on the battery so you know when the power is getting low and you need to charge it again. You can take the battery out of the mower to charge, if that is easier for you. It is lead, when most mowers come with a lithium battery. Lead batteries give you power quick when you need it, but might not last as long as a lithium. They also take longer to charge and might be heavier than a lithium battery.
